Xbox360 work only on 110 volt power and not on 220 volt?

I am living in Baghdad and our electricity power is 220 volt , my question is : Are the xbox360 consoles work on 110 volt only? and is there any risk if someone modify it from 220 to 110 , I mean risk like overheating or power supply explosion??? other question :Is there any penefit by adding more fans to xbox360 heatsink ?or Is there any other step to avoid overheating?
