1985 Monte Carlo SS or 1996 Impala SS which would be a better first car?

im turing 18 in a few days and this is the car i want for my birthday the monte carlo or the impala SS which would be better i dont plan on driving it everyday either because i live close to school so for the the next 6 months i would just drive mostly on the weekends until im done high school and get a newer car as my daily driver.
