I live in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where can I get community service hours done?

I had a theft under $300 charge in NY 8 years ago, and I was sentenced to do 24 comm. service, I never did them cause I moved back to MD with my family, and now I enlisted in the Navy a week ago, and this popped up, so ,y recruiter is seeing what can be done, because I have to leave for basic training in June, but I have the feeling that i might have to do these hours before I can leave.
