I need help on downsizing a crochet pattern please. the bootie pattern fits a nb but I need to downsize it?

The simplest way to downsize a pattern is to : 1) tighten your tension, 2) downsize the hook size or 3) use thinner yarn. The choice is yours. Use whatever method you're most comfortable doing.
